Paul and Janine have been the 7th generation at Groene Camping In de Polder and BIO In the Polder since January 1, 2018. Cora, Janine’s mother started a minicaming in the farm’s old orchard in the 1990s.
It soon became apparent that guests knew how to find our spot on the Groenendijk in Lage Zwaluwe. In April 2004, Green Camping In the Polder welcomed its first guests.

Paul and Janine run the organic agricultural and recreational farm together and welcome you! In the low season, you will be welcomed by Paul or Janine at the reception desk. On weekends and high season, they are supported by Rebecca and Eline. Rebecca has gained a lot of work experience over the past two years. Eline, the daughter of Paul and Janine, was brought up on it. She, too, will welcome you hospitably.<\/p>\n

As of January 1, 2018, the 7th generation is at the helm, something we are proud of. Since 2015, the campground and farm (suckler cows, bulls, arable and nut orchard) have been converted to organic operations. Our challenge in farming is to get the cycles closed as far as possible. My passion is organic farming. For me it is not only making sure that the vegetables grow well and responsibly but also that the animals; bulls, suckler cows and sheeps have a good time. The cows (suckler cows with calves and bulls) walk in the pastures around the farm. I like to talk about the ins and outs of the farm. If you see me walking somewhere feel free to ask a question. I am 14 years old and already quite familiar with the ins and outs of the farm and camping. The sheeps on the farm are mine. My hobbies are ice skating and rollerblading.<\/span>
Since 2021, I have been baking delicious hot rolls for guests at the campsite in the morning, on weekends and school vacations, except Wednesdays<\/span><\/p>\n

In memoriam, On October 30, 2022 we had to let go of each other with a lot of love, sadness and full of pride. On his ninth birthday, we had a beautiful, impressive farewell together and he was buried next to Grandpa Henk. We are grateful to our boyfriend for all he taught us. Jochem’s life motto is: “embrace life and enjoy“.<\/p>\n

30 years ago, I took the initiative to expand our arable farm with a campground. Thirteen years ago, together with my husband Henk, I exchanged the house on the farm for a new home 150m further towards the village of Lage Zwaluwe. The upper floor of the house is equipped for B&B, there are 2 rooms each with its own bathroom and a kitchenette for common use. Interested? check out bnbindepolder.nl<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

In memoriam,<\/span>
Like our daughter Janine, I was born on the farm and continued my parents’ arable farm. I am proud of Paul and Janine how they continue the farm and campground. I love the outdoors.<\/span>
Henk passed away peacefully from us on July 20, 2019 amidst his loved ones<\/span><\/p>\n
